    COVID Mitigation Specialist – Sanitation Option

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    Perform a wide range of responsible work to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus.
     
    ESSENTIAL TASKS
    These are intended to illustrate various types of work performed. Other duties may be included if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.

    • Clean buildings, equipment, and vehicles to ensure a decontaminated environment.
    • Sanitize offices, meeting rooms, restrooms; reset and sanitize after use to mitigate the possible spread of coronavirus.
    • Remove trash and other debris to reduce risk of contamination.
    • Perform related work as required to combat the spread of coronavirus.

     
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and school staff; ability to read.
     
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    GED or high school diploma. Some custodial experience preferable. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
     
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
