The service window attendant is the front line face of a The Hot Box and because of this attendants must be attentive and responsive to customers. Candidates must be able to anticipate the customer’s needs.
Must be on your feet for long periods of time.
Professional and friendly. (Even in tough situations)
Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
Basic math skills.
Great attention to detail.
Look customers in the eye and alsways say “Welcome” as they approach the window.
EVERY order is to be delivered with a “Thank you” and a smile.
Inform customers of daily specials.
Memorize the menu and ingredients of each item.
Take beverage and food orders.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. (manual)
Serve food and/or beverages to customers.
Stock service window area with supplies such as utensils, bags, condiments, to-go containers.
Work with other staff members and be a team player.
Assist in cooking tasks.
Never speak disparaging of other businesses or of Washington to customers.
