Washington Civil War Round Table
Bringing People Together Through the Study of History
The Washington Civil War Round Table welcomes everyone with an interest in the American Civil War and the people, places, events, and experiences that shaped this important period in our nation’s history.
Our purpose is simple: to bring people together for thoughtful, respectful, and educational discussions about the Civil War from a wide range of perspectives. We seek to study the full history of the era—including its military, political, social, economic, and personal stories—without promoting a political agenda or encouraging division.
Members and guests are invited to explore the history of the war honestly, including the difficult subjects and differing viewpoints connected to it. Our meetings provide a welcoming setting where people can listen, learn, ask questions, share research, and better understand the complexities of the past.
Everyone Is Welcome
Membership in the Washington Civil War Round Table is open to anyone interested in the War Between the States. No previous knowledge or experience is required—only an interest in history and a willingness to participate respectfully.
Anyone may join at any meeting and become a member. We meet at the Pope Center, 48 Lexington Ave, Washington GA, every 4th Monday.

The Washington Civil War Round Table has no political agenda. Our goal is to study the history of the Civil War—the good, the bad, and everything in between—through respectful conversation, thoughtful discussion, and an appreciation for the many events and experiences that shaped our nation.
Whether you're a lifelong Civil War enthusiast or just beginning to explore this fascinating period of American history, you'll find a welcoming group eager to learn together.
