    Description

The Robert Toomb’s House Historic Site will present “If Walls Could Talk” on April 6th from 10-4 during the Spring Tour of Homes. Historic research from documents, books and letters as well as the architecical study of the site will enlighten visitors to the mysteries of the Toomb’s House history. Archeologists who wrote the study of the Toombs House are still baffled by some of their findings. Learn how the footing trenches possibly reveal timing of initial construction and what role fine china shards played in dating the house? From the construction of the hot house on the west end, to the original herringbone brick floor in a room that might have had many different uses the answers can be found – eventually.
